Fleetcomm mobile radio
Fleetcomm Band 3 radio systems is the only effective alternative to cellular telephones and is the country's only wide area trunked mobile radio network. All mobile radios are totally exempt from mobile phone legislation (see Law) owing their unique press to talk function. Not only can mobile radio permit private one-to-one conversations it can, when operating in a single transmitter mode, provide a mass group call, thus enabling all of a fleet's vehicles to communicate on a single call. Different models of radios are available including some for those users requiring interconnection with the public telephone or cellular networks.
Such features as call-waiting and call-divert are also available.
